A TREATISE ON KHULUFA-ER-RASHIDUNE

After the death of the Prophet (SAW), the Muslim community was faced with an extremely serious problem of choosing a successor to the Prophet to continue to spear the Message of Islam. As successor to the Prophet, the Khalifa had to take the role of the head of the Muslim community with primary responsibility to continue in the path of the Prophet, to make all laws in accordance with the Quran and the Sunnah, to be obeyed as long as he obeyed Allah and be responsible for creating and maintaining conditions under which it would be easy for Muslims to live according to Islamic principles, and to see that justice was done to all. After the death of the Prophet, Abu Bakr was chosen as the first khalifa followed by 'Umar, Uthmân and Ali.
